New Public Access Defibrillator in Errogie
Added at 13:18 on 22 January 2026
The Community Council is pleased to announce that a new public access defibrillator (Automatic External Defibrillator or AED) has been installed on the old Church in Errogie. We are very grateful to Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust for permitting the installation.
Another AED is due to be installed in Inverfarigaig in the next few days. This will bring the total number of AEDs across our community to 8. That appears a high number for a population of our size, but our community covers a wide geographical area. We have endeavoured to ensure there is an AED reasonably close to all members of our community. It is worth knowing where your nearest device is, so that delays in an emergency can be minimised.
We have prepared a map showing the locations of all the AEDs in our area. If you notice any problems with them, please get in touch.
Whilst AEDs are designed to be usable by anybody without any training, we plan to hold some training sessions including basic CPR and familiarisation with AEDs in the spring. Further details will follow once they are finalised.
